What is SplitVault? +
SplitVault is a lightweight tool for independent producers and songwriters to create split sheets, invite collaborators, collect typed e-signatures, export a PDF, and keep a SHA-256 hash-chained audit trail. It is operated by Tona Digital (The Netherlands).
What is the difference between “Your projects” and “Your catalog”? +
Your projects lists songs you own (created under your account). Your catalog lists works where you are a collaborator who has signed (your personal signed credit). Owning a project does not automatically add a catalog row unless you also appear on the split sheet as a signed collaborator.
Why is a finalized project missing from my catalog? +
Catalog only shows signed collaborator rows matched to your account e-mail (or linked user id). If you only own the project and are not on the sheet as a signed collaborator—or you were invited under a different e-mail—it will not appear. Check project view for your row and status “signed”.
Can I fix a typo after sending invites? +
Yes, until the first person signs. Use Correct splits on the project (pending, 0 signatures). Saving re-issues invite links; old links stop working. After someone signs, splits are locked—use Amend after finalization to start a new version.
What happens when someone declines? +
Their row shows as declined. The project cannot finalize until every collaborator has signed (declines block finalize). The owner can correct the sheet (if nobody signed yet) or amend after a prior finalization. Declining invitees may leave an optional note for the owner in the audit trail.
What is the PRO registration tracker? +
A personal checklist of territories/PROs where you still need to register the work (ASCAP, MACP, etc.). It does not automatically file with societies. You set status, due dates, and responsible people. “Public search” opens the society’s external public repertoire site as a helper—it is not official registration and does not pull live status into SplitVault.
Is a SplitVault PDF legally binding everywhere? +
We store typed signatures, timestamps, IP/user-agent, and a tamper-evident audit chain to support evidence. Enforceability depends on local law, the parties, and the situation. SplitVault is not a law firm and does not guarantee outcomes in every jurisdiction. See Terms of Service.
What data is stored when I sign? +
Your typed legal name, e-mail on the invite, signature status, IP address, browser user-agent, timestamp, and an audit-log entry chained with SHA-256. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
Why must splits total 100.00%? +
Ownership of the work’s composition split is recorded as percentages that must add up exactly so the sheet is internally consistent before invites go out.
How do cookies work? +
We use necessary cookies for login, security (CSRF), and remembering cookie choice. We do not currently load third-party ads or analytics. You can choose Essential only or Accept all in the cookie banner. See Privacy Policy.
How do I contact support or report a bug? +
Use the Contact page wizard (question, bug, business, privacy, or other). Messages go to Tona Digital at info@tonadigital.com. The form is protected against bots with CSRF, honeypot, timing, captcha, and rate limits.
Who is the data controller? +
Tona Digital, The Netherlands. Contact info@tonadigital.com or the Privacy topic on the contact form. You may also lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch DPA).
